The tutorial presents information about types, characteristics and instruments for anesthesia in dentistry. It describes physical and chemical properties, classification and mechanism of drugs‘ effect for local and general anesthesia, the notions of anesthetic activity and toxicity as well as ground for the choice of a proper anesthetic. It is intended to be used both in classroom and independent work of students majoring in specialty 31.05.03 Dentistry.
